Painting Mediums & Varnishes

Jasart Byron Fabric Medium will convert acrylic paint into fabric paint, which will become wash and dry resistant. This bottle contains 250ml.

Directions for use: Mix 50% of acrylic paint with 50% fabric medium and paint on your preferred fabric. Allow 12 hours to dry. Heat set with an iron, using cloth to cover the fabric.

Do not iron directly onto the painted surface. Clean with soap and water.

Jasart Byron Flow Medium is a clear acrylic medium which will increase the translucency and flow of the acrylic paint. This bottle contains 250ml.

Use to create thin washes of colour without compromising the paint film. Good for watery effects and drips.

Directions for use: Apply directly to the paint surface or mix with acrylic paint.

Jasart Byron Gloss Medium & Varnish will increase the surface gloss and increase colour depth transparency. This bottle contains 250ml. Dries to a gloss finish. Can be used on many surfaces such as canvas, wood, or other art surfaces.

Directions for use: Mix with acrylic paint or apply directly to the paint surface once dry.

Jasart Byron Matt Medium & Varnish will reduce the shine of your acrylic paints and increase their colour depth and transparency when added to acrylics. Alternatively, use it as a quick-drying varnish to coat your artworks.

This medium dries to a matt finish. Can be used on many surfaces such as canvas, wood, or other art surfaces.
Directions for use: Mix with acrylic paint or apply directly to the paint surface once dry.

Low odour and a great alternative to Artists' Turpentine, Art Spectrum Odourless Solvent can be used to prepare painting mediums and a solvent for cleaning. Ideal for people with sensitivty to turpentine fumes. 

It is recommended to apply one coat of Permaplastik Acrylic Sealer & Undercoat before painting over with Permaplastik Acrylic Paint.

Pebeo Phosphorescent Gels be used to make fluroescent colours when mixed with acrylic colours. It can also be use on its own to as an acrylic medium that produces a glow in dark effect after capturing sunlight.

Jo Sonja's Gesso Primer is a free-flowing acrylic ground used to prepare a surface for acrylic or oil paint use. An effective sealer, Jo Sonja's Gesso Primer prevents moisture loss of paint through absorption and is suitable for use on raw wood, craftwood, plywood and canvas.

Liquitex Gloss Medium (was known as Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish) gives flow to heavy body paints. It helps maintain paint adhesion and durability and increases surface gloss.

Liquitex Gloss Medium is intermixable with the whole Liquitex range and can be mixed with matte medium to create satin fluid medium custom to your need.

Liquitex Gloss Medium is permanent, non-yellowing, flexible & non-cracking and water-resistant when dry. Can be used as an extender, fixative, ground or varnish.

Liquitex Matte Gels are a professional matte gel medium. Intermixable with the Liquitex Professional Acrylic Paint range, Liquitex Matte Gels posess viscosity and body similar to Liquitex Heavy Body Paint.

Varying consistencies available will produce greater adhesive abilities and are also suitable for use as an extender, ground or binder.
