These canvas panels are made from 100% cotton canvas board. A 380gsm (7oz) medium texture canvas stretched over 3.5mm hardboard core. The canvas is also triple primed with acrylic gesso. Perfect for oils, acrylics and alkyds.

Studio canvas is 380gsm (7oz) in weight and primed with quality acrylic gesso, making it suitable for acrylics, oils and alkyds. The staple-free edge (back-stapled) allows for painting on the sides and re-stretching. Suitable for hanging with or without a frame. Acid-Free. The Thin edge profile is 3/4” or 19mm deep. Winsor & Newton's Professional Canvas range is made from premium 480gsm canvas hand stretched over solid pine stretcher bars for the best tension. Each corner is expertly tailored for a premium finish.

Winsor & Newton acrylic gesso is applied to the canvas, making it suitable for use with oil or acrylic paint, as well as other media.
