Acrylic Paint Mediums & Varnishes

Jasart Byron Pouring Medium is designed for fluid effect and pouring techniques such as pour and puddles, acrylic inks and flow painting. Pouring Medium can be used with acrylic paints and inks.

Dries to a wet-look finish. Can be used on many surfaces such as canvas, wood, or other art surfaces.

Available in 250ml, 500ml and 1L

Directions for use: Mix approximately 10% of paint with 90% of Byron Pouring Medium. Adjust ratio to get desired consistency. Pour onto surface.

Jo Sonja's Acrylic Flow Medium is used to thin acrylic colours and mediums, dilute binders or reduce adhesive qualities. High versatile, Jo Sonja's Acrylic Flow Medium can be mixed to produce a smoother paint showing no brush marks or remarkably long strokes with very fine detail and definition. If airbrushing, try mixing 3 parts Jo Sonja's Acrylic Flow Medium and 1 part acrylic paint.

Jo Sonja's All Purpose Sealer ensures good paint adhesion and prevents mositure loss into absorbent surfaces. Use instead of Gesso, where items require sealing without "tooth" or opaque colour. Jo Sonja's All Purpose Sealer is suitable for sealing wood, fibreboard, cardboard, paper, canvas, metal, unglazed bisque and terracotta.

Mix Jo Sonja's Clear Glaze, with any acrylic colour, to create clear glazes or wood stains. If working with raw wood, Jo Sonja's Clear Glaze can also be used undiluted as a light sealer, or prior to varnishing as a barrier coat.

Jo Sonja's Crackle Mediums can be applied over acrylic colours to create aged and cracked background effects.

Jo Sonja's Decoupage Finishing Varnish is a heavy-bodied gloss varnish which produces a thick, lacquer-like coating. Especially formulated for decoupage artists, Jo Sonja's Decoupage Finishing Varnish is ideal for hiding the cut edges of paper.

Jo Sonja's Faux Finish Kleister Medium is a semi-transparent paste which gives acrylic colours extra body. Use Jo Sonja's Faux Finish Kleister Medium to create wood graining, marbling, tortoise-shell and other "faux" finishes.

Jo Sonja's Glass & Tile Painting Medium converts acrylic colours to decorative, yet durable, glass and ceramic paints.

Jo Sonja's Glitter Gels contain tiny light-reflecting particles with the brilliance of rich gold or opal. Use alone or with acrylic colours to create glitter effects on most surfaces. Suitable for use on surfaces such as paper, card, glass, plastic, canvas, wood, teracotta, tin and fabric, Jo Sonja's Glitter Gels are non-yellowing and the brushstrokes disappear when dry.

Jo Sonja's Magic Mix Sealer dries matte and extends the drying time of acrylic colours. Ideal for glazing, tinting, side loading, floating colour, strokework, linework & fine detail painting.

Jo Sonja's Retarder Mediums are used to slow-down the drying time of acrylic paints. Jo Sonja's Gel Retarder greatly extends drying time and can be mixed with Jo Sonja's Retarder Medium to decrease the "open time," as needed.
